Marcus Fakana, 18, initiated a "vacation romance" while in the traditional country with his parents in August, as per Detained in Dubai, a civil liberties organization representing him.
The teenager, born in Tottenham, allegedly had his actions reported to Dubai's authorities by the girl's mother once their relationship was uncovered.
The girl, also from London, was supposedly in the UK when her mother brought forth the accusation.
As the adolescent is confronted with a 20-year prison sentence, Mr. Fakana's parents have released a new statement imploring for assistance from the general public and Dubai's leader, HH Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum.
His parents stated: "We have sought support from Foreign secretary David Lammy to ensure his rights are maintained, and we implore Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, to kindly allow our son to return home.
"This experience has brought us significant emotional and financial burden, and each day is a mental struggle.
