News: U.S. forces strike Iran-linked militia weapons depot in Syria

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Tuesday that it struck an Iran-linked militia  weapons depot in Syria.

"The attack was in response to yesterday's attack by Iran-allied forces on U.S. forces in Syria," CENTCOM said in a news release.

It said the attack was aimed at degrading the group's ability to plan and execute future attacks against U.S. and coalition forces based in the region to conduct operations against Daesh/ISIS.

"As we have previously stated, we will not tolerate  attacks against our personnel or coalition partners, and we are committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure their protection," the CENTCOM commander said. Michael Eric Kurilla.
