5. What lessons can you learn from the Samaritans?

The Samaritans didn't allow prejudice or lack of knowledge to prevent them from making spiritual progress. They didn't waste time before they got baptized. Good lessons for all those hoping to get baptized. They need to take a decisive action in order to serve Jehovah and reject procrastination.

9. What lessons can you learn from Saul?

We shouldn't allow the fear of man to hold us back from getting baptised and serving Jehovah. We must be willing to make the needed changes required of every true christian even if it may mean persecution or death. We should be confident like Saul that no matter what we go through, Jehovah will give us help and strength to to do his will.

11. What circumstances did Cornelius face?

He was a big man in the world because he had many soldiers under his command. It is like having about 100 soldiers under one's command in the United States of America today, because Rome was the world power of that time. He was also popular as a philantropist who showered gifts on many people. How could such a big man becomes a christian going to preach from house to house and associating with poor people? That was big issue.

For me, the lesson from Cornelius is never to allow any important position or social status to hold me back from doing Jehovah's will. Rather, I will totally rely on the help Jehovah gives so he can bless my determination to serve him.
